: Initially captivated by the alluring description of Hyde Resort and Residences, my recent stay at the property was unfortunately a far cry from the idyllic retreat I had envisioned. In the interest of providing a comprehensive evaluation and assisting prospective guests in making informed choices, I feel compelled to offer a detailed account of my experience of staying at Hyde Resort and Residences *Managed by Property Manager Gian Carlos at Beach Resort Rental. They rent out multiple units in this building. Please be sure to verify the property manager in the listing if the listing says managed by Beach Resort Rental OR hides the name (and just shows a score) RUN!I also liked the fake review Gian Carlos left for this listing in Booking.com (feel free to read it yourself) its kind of bizarre.Our time at Hyde Resort and Residences was fraught with numerous disappointments & unsettling revelations, painting a stark picture of mismanagement & neglect that tarnished the entire experience.From the outset, the booking process was marred by hidden fees that were conveniently added on after we booked & are due at check in or they wont let you check in.These additional charges, including resort fees, parking fees, and a mandatory security deposit, substantially inflated the overall cost of our stay by $1300.00Upon arrival, our hopes of enjoying advertised amenities were quickly dashed by the early closure of the pool @7pm DAILY, severely limiting our ability to relax & unwind as promised. This unexpected restriction cast a shadow over our vacation experience & left us feeling undervalued as guestsHowever, the most alarming discovery during our stay was the presence of an infrared camera discreetly concealed within the bathroom fan. This blatant invasion of privacy, coupled with the absence of any prior disclosure, was deeply unsettling and raised serious concerns about the ethical safety protocols enforced. Charged my credit card 333.
: Despite promptly reporting this egregious violation to booking.com we were told its out of their hands, Gian Carlos ghosted me. The lingering unease and sense of violation persisted throughout the remainder of our stay, casting a pall over what was supposed to be a relaxing retreat In addition to alarming security issues, the overall condition of our accommodations left much to be desired. Upon check-in, we were greeted by visibly dirty floors & malfunctioning kitchen appliances that remained unaddressed despite our repeated requests for maintenance and repairs. This blatant disregard for cleanliness and upkeep not only detracted from the overall enjoyment of our stay but also called into question the property's commitment to guest satisfaction & comfort. Moreover, interactions with the pool staff were characterized by selling us a cocktail then sending security over to say you cant have a drink within 30 feet of the pool! Rudeness and inconsistency, further compounding our sense of disillusionment and frustration. The onsite restaurant, touted as a culinary highlight served microwaved food. Further exacerbating our grievances was the lack of effective communication and accountability from the property's management team, particularly the host, Gian Carlos. Despite our persistent complaints regarding mold growth, malfunctioning appliances, and ongoing maintenance issues, our concerns were met with indifference and delay, leaving us feeling neglected and unheard until day 8 when Gian Carlos offered to change our room if I agreed to call it even and not offer us ANY type of refund. In summary, my stay at Hyde Resort and Residences was characterized by a combination of mismanagement, poor maintenance, and deceptive practices.
